教師可攜帶一些易于演奏的樂(lè)器，也可帶一些演奏樂(lè)器的圖片，一邊演示樂(lè)器，一邊說(shuō):?I?can?play?the?guitar．…等與學(xué)生展開(kāi)自由談話，讓學(xué)生詢問(wèn)各自的愛(ài)好，引出情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can。采用學(xué)生間相互提出問(wèn)題、解決問(wèn)題，借助實(shí)物來(lái)提高學(xué)生的主動(dòng)性。

Step 1 Greeting

Greet the class.

Step 2 Lead in

Ask questions about what students can do.

(1) Hello，everyone. Do you like Jay Chou？He’s a very famous singer. He can sing，dance and he can also play the guitar. Write one sentence on the blackboard. Underline the word “can”. Here are some clubs in our school，such as the art club, the music club, the swimming club, the sports club and so on . Can you tell me what club do you want to join？

(2) Ask: Can you sing？Can you dance？Can you play the guitar？Please tell us your talents. Choose one student who raises his hand."Yes, I can.". Repeat this sentence and write the sentence on the blackboard. Choose another student who raises his hand."I want to join the music club." Repeat this sentence and write the sentence on the blackboard. Underline the words “want to ”.

(3) Point to the words “cant” and “want to” on the blackboard. Say that we use these words to talk about abilities.

    Use this activity to introduce the key vocabularies.
